About Han Chiang University College of Communication (formerly known as Han Chiang College)

Established in July 1999 in Georgetown, Penang Malaysia, Han Chiang University (HCU) has continuously been providing quality education and learning experience to its students.  This non-profit institution offers students education for an affordable price to study in either of its programmes including its 3 foundation programmes, 8 diploma programmes, and 3 twinning degree programmes.

There are four schools of study available in HCU including School of Business & Management, School of Communication, School of Multimedia & Information Technologies, and School of Chinese Studies. Correspondingly, HCU’s foundation programmes comprise of the areas of communication and business. Furthermore, it is also fully accredited by the MQA (Malaysian Qualifications Agency) for several of its diploma courses such as Diploma in Mass Communication, Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Multimedia Communication Design, and others. Students can also gain favourable opportunities for its 3+0 Bachelor of Communication with support from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, 3+0 (Hons) Business Management with the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and many others.

In 2015, Hang Chiang College has received an official approval from the Ministry of Education Malaysia to have them upgraded to a university and has been improving their teaching and learning experience ever since them.
