Curriculum

This course has a common first year with our Hospitality Management degree to provide a thorough grounding in business concepts, service marketing and management.

You’ll then go on to learn about accounting and finance, destination marketing, innovation and managing businesses in different tourism sub-sectors.

In your final year you’ll get to grips with sustainable tourism, cultural tourism and the ‘tourist landscape’, and you’ll have a choice of optional modules, including niche marketing.

Throughout the course you’ll analyse and discuss current and emerging issues in tourism, gaining an in-depth understanding of the many aspects of this industry.

For instance, you’ll learn how individual tourism businesses operate, and how destinations, countries and regions market and promote themselves.

By the end of the course you’ll be in a great position to gain employment in the tourism industry at home or abroad.
