About Reaseheath College

Reaseheath College is one of the leading specialist land-based Colleges in the UK.  Based in Cheshire the College has an enviable setting amongst 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities, you can't help feeling at home at Reaseheath.

In recent years unprecedented demand for Reaseheath courses have followed outstanding years which have included:

  • In July 2013 Ofsted Care Standards Inspectors judged the college to be outstanding in all areas.
  • Investment of over £40million into specialist resources and facilities to ensure the best education and training possible
  • Celebrating our greatest honour in a series of national accolades when Her Majesty the Queen officially opened two world class buildings
  • Ofsted inspectors awarding the college to be 'Good with Outstanding features', under a rigorous common inspection framework, highlighting how we continually improve teaching standards
  • Exceeding standards in all areas inspected under the Quality Assurance Agency Integrated Quality Enhancement Review (IQER) – the equivalent of an HE Ofsted Inspection
  • Continuing to grow our reputation both nationally and internationally – we have approximately 7,500 students from over 110 local authorities and other countries studying with us
  • Expanding the number of higher education courses we offer
  • Expanding our work in support of rural businesses and communities

Reaseheath's success and growth is being supported by an ambitious £40 million plus capital investment programme across college ensuring that students and staff enjoy world class specialist technical and educational facilities.

Accommodation

Although the majority of our full-time students travel to college daily, we have on-site residential accommodation for 785 students, fully supported by a safeguarding team.

Any full-time students aged 16 and over may apply for a residential place and a bursary may be available to help with costs.

For some of you, coming to study with us will mean living away from home for the first time and we recognise that finding the right place to live is important. All of our Halls of Residence are situated on campus. Breakfast, lunch and evening meals are provided each day in the Reaseheath Restaurant. Some halls also have a self-catering kitchen designated to a number of students.

Facilities

All accommodation above is catered unless otherwise stated. The catered accommodation cost is inclusive of £35 food allowance per week. We can also provide bedding at a cost of £99 per year.

Rooms have either:

  • Full en-suite facilities
  • Washbasins in rooms, shared toilet and shower facilities (half en-suite)
  • Shared – washing, toilet, bath/shower facilities

All students are provided with:

  • Single bed / bunk bed
  • Desk and chair
  • Bedside cabinet
  • Wardrobe
  • Waste bin
  • Desk lamp

Rooms are cleaned weekly and bathrooms, toilet and kitchen areas are cleaned daily (Monday-Friday).

All halls of residence have a kitchen area, which includes:

  • Hot and cold water supply
  • Toaster
  • Kettle
  • Microwave
  • Iron and ironing boards are available in all halls of residence.

Campus

The Reaseheath campus itself is small enough to retain its friendly, family atmosphere, but large enough for you to be able to mix with lots of groups of students.

Our front lawn is great to sit out on during the summer and the College lake has much wildlife to watch.

Over the past few years we have invested over £50million in our campus to give you the best possible environment for learning. We were even lucky enough to receive a visit from Her Majesty the Queen four years ago when she officially opened our indoor riding arena and Centrepoint, home to student services, our library and learning resource centre.

The College is located in Nantwich, Cheshire, near transport links to all major cities in the UK. Located close to Manchester with their famous football team, and the City of Liverpool, home to one of the largest and oldest Chinese communities in Europe, Liverpool FC and The Beatles, their international airports are within one hour’s travel of the campus.
