Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Option 1:

    • A Master’s degree (normally with merit or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline.

    • Experience in research methodology (e.g., dissertation or research project).

    • An upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or international equivalent.

  • Option 2:

    • A First-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline.

    • Must include experience in research methodology.

    • Direct admission is at the discretion of the School based on evaluation of applicant’s competency.

  • All applicants must hold a degree from a recognised university.

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS (Academic): 7.0 overall (no less than 6.0 in each element)

  • TOEFL (iBT): 100 overall (minimum 19 Writing/Listening, 20 Reading, 22 Speaking)

  • PTE (Academic): 76 overall (no less than 65 in each element)

  • MUET: Band 5

Note:

  • IELTS, TOEFL iBT, and PTE results must be less than 2 years old.

  • IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted.

  • Online versions (IELTS Academic Online, TOEFL iBT Home Edition, PTE Academic Online) are not accepted.

  • MUET results are valid for 5 years from release date.
