UTAR Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) Psychology provides a fundamental and broad understanding of the role of psychologists in the Malaysia scenario within a global environment through case studies and industrial attachements. The programme will advance the psychological knowledge of students based on scientific research principles and studies using a range of approaches.

Emphasis is placed on the relevance of the courses to meet the changing needs of the Malaysia socio-economic environment. The programme also exposes students to alternative forms of counselling, such as e-counselling and traditional face-to-face counselling. All these knowledge and skills help them to find careers in fields of human development such as counselling, rehabilitation, training and human resources.
