With the rise of ubiquitous computing and the Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems continue to advance, significantly enhancing modern living.
The Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) Embedded Systems programme equips students with the skills and expertise to design electronic circuits and systems using advanced software tools. It prepares graduates to excel in embedded systems design and computing, a field that is shaping the future of information and communication technology.
This programme emphasizes the integration of hardware and software into intelligent systems with applications in Digital Signal and Image Processing (e.g., camera and video technology), Intelligent Systems, and Networking.

Entry Requirements
- STPM / STAM / A-Level: 2 subjects: min. Grade C (STPM), Jayyid (STAM), or Grade D (A-Level)
- - Credit in Mathematics (SPM/equivalent)
- Pass in Physics (SPM/equivalent) - UEC: Grade B in 5 subjects & Credit in Mathematics (SPM/equivalent) & Pass in Physics (SPM/equivalent)
- SAM / CPU: ATAR 70 (SAM) / 70% avg. in 6 subjects (CPU) and Credit in Mathematics (SPM/equivalent) and Pass in Physics (SPM/equivalent)
- IB Diploma: Min. 24 points (excluding bonus points) and Credit in Mathematics (SPM/equivalent) and Pass in Physics (SPM/equivalent)
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF): Diploma in Computing: min. CGPA 2.50 (below 2.50 requires internal evaluation)
- OR Diploma in Science & Tech: min. CGPA 2.75 (below 2.75 requires internal evaluation)
- TVET Diplomas (DKM / DVM / DLKM): Fully accredited by MQA, in Computing field: min. CGPA 2.50 (Senate approval required) and Admission screening & possible Bridging Programme
- Foundation (UTAR & others): Min. CGPA 2.00+Credit in Mathematics (SPM/equivalent).
- Other equivalent qualifications: Must have a credit in Mathematics (SPM/equivalent).
English Language Requirement:
- Malaysian Applicants (STPM/UEC/other non-English qualifications):
- - Credit in SPM English / Grade C in O-Level English / Grade B in UEC English
- OR: MUET Band 3 / IELTS Band 5.0 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / TOEFL 7.5(Essentials)
