The Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) programme is an innovative and industry-relevant degree that provides students with comprehensive knowledge in accounting, finance, quantitative analysis, economics, computing, management, English, and marketing. The curriculum is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for professional accounting careers.

This programme emphasizes the development of highly competent and ethical accountants, instilling traits such as professionalism, discipline, and strong moral values. Graduates will be well-equipped to pursue careers in accounting, auditing, taxation, financial analysis, and corporate finance, or continue their studies at the Master’s or postgraduate level in accounting and business-related fields.

This Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) programme can be completed in four years.

  • Pass *STPM with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any 2 subjects
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E

• A-LEVEL

  • Pass *A-Level with minimum Grade C in any 2 subjects (CGPA 2.00)
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E

• MATRICULATION

  • Pass *Matriculation with a minimum CGPA 2.50
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E

• FOUNDATION

  • Pass *Foundation in related field with minimum CGPA 2.50
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E

• STAM

  • Pass with a minimum Grade of Jayyid
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E

• DIPLOMA

  • Pass Diploma in Accounting field (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
  • Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E
  • *Note: Rigorous assessment can be done through interviews, portfolios, written tests, or any form of assessment

• DVM/DLKM/DKM

  • Pass DVM/DLKM/DKM in Accounting field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval
  • Math (SPM): C
  • BI (SPM): E

• Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)

  • Pass *UEC with a minimum of Grade B in FIVE (5) subjects including:
    • Math: B
    • 4 Any subject: B
    • English: E

• International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB)

  • Pass with a minimum of 24 points in 6 subjects

• OTHERS

  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM), Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT), South Australian Certificate Education (SACE), Western Australian Certificate Education (WACE), Overseas Preparatory Programme
  • Pass with a minimum of Grade C
  • 60% ATAR Rank in any of the following subjects:
    • Math: C
    • Economy: C

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS

For Malaysian Students:

Students have taken MUET before enrolling and scored at least Band 2. IELTS (5.0 and above) or TOEFL (500 and above) or TOEFL Internet-Based Test (42 and above) is also accepted.

  Achieve Band 2 and above

For International Students:

International students are required to have one of the English proficiency scores stated below to enrol in UNITEN. Bachelor students who do not fulfil this English requirement are required to sit for the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and pass the requirements below before starting their Bachelor programme.

  Achieve Band 3.5 and above
   
• IELTS – International English Language Testing System
  Achieve 5.5 and above
   
• TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
  Achieve 550 (TOEFL) or 46 (TOEFL Internet Based Test) and above
