About
Innovation management is being introduced for the first time in the food processing curriculum of this new MSc degree. The MSc Program in Food Processing and Innovation aims to teach government officials, food industry professionals, and aspiring food entrepreneurs the entire food processing value chain, from comprehending the components of food to launching a new business to upend and improve the food processing sector in Asia.
Professionals and recent graduates hoping to pursue professions in the food processing sector are the target audience for this program. Throughout the course, students gain expertise and comprehension of the whole process of developing and launching ingredients. Candidates can complete this program in 1.5 years by enrolling full-time or in 2 years by enrolling part time.

Entry Requirements
Entry Level and Requirements
For Local Students
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Food Engineering/Food Processing/Food Safety/Food Quality/Chemical Engineering Technology or related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 or equivalent, as approved by UniKL Senate; or
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Food Engineering/Food Processing/Food Safety/Food Quality/Chemical Engineering Technology or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the UniKL and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii).
For International Students
