The Master of Information Technology program is specifically crafted to furnish students with advanced knowledge, techniques, and skills essential for addressing contemporary market demands and resolving real-world issues in the realm of information technology.
This program empowers students to advance their career trajectories by cultivating new professional competencies within their respective fields and contributing novel ideas or innovations to their organizations. Courses such as software design & development and software process and management serve as additional assets, enabling students to devise innovative IT solutions in their chosen domains.
Students also have the opportunity to acquire Microsoft Digital Badges, which authenticate their skills through blockchain technology, in addition to their academic certificate. The curriculum integrates Microsoft content and cloud-based lab exercises, while also incorporating new modules focusing on Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Machine Learning to adapt to the demands of Industry 4.0.
Through the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) mechanism, students can leverage their prior learning experiences for admission, potentially reducing both the duration and costs of their studies.

Programme Entry Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in computing or related fields , with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the Senate; OR A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in computing or related fields or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, can be accepted subject to subject to a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the related fields and rigorous internal assessment ; OR Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in the field of Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the UNITAR; OR *Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP and meet aminimum CGPA of 2.00 with minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the related fields, and rigorous internal assessment.
(*Rigorous internal assessment and their working experiences will determine the appropriate prerequisite courses required for candidates. If the assessment fulfils the requirements, the candidates can be exempted from taking the prerequisite courses)
