About
The BCA (Hons) 3D Animation Design programme is designed to nurture the talents of tomorrow’s artists today. From the inception of an idea to the creation of final works, students are trained to think critically, produce high-quality animations, and master the language of 3D animation. This programme equips students with the technical skills and creative expertise needed to excel in the fast-paced and evolving animation industry.

Academic Requirements
- UEC: Minimum FIVE (5) Credits
- STPM: Minimum Grade C in TWO (2) Subjects (GP 2.00)
- A-Level: Minimum Grade D in TWO (2) Subjects (GP 2.00)
- International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 26/42 credits from SIX (6) Subjects
- Australian High/Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) - SAM/AUSMAT/SACE/TEE/NTCE/WACE: Minimum ATAR 60% or minimum 60% average in five (5) subjects inclusive of:
- Mathematics
- One Science subject
- Portfolio Assessment: Minimum 6 pieces of artwork are required for review
- National Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0
- Other Qualifications Equivalent to STPM/A-Level by MQA: Minimum average score of 60%
- UCSI Foundation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0
- Diploma: Minimum CGPA of 2.0
- Advance Diploma (Level 5, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.0
- Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM): Minimum Grade of Jayyid
- Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM): Subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval
- Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM): Subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval
- Other Qualifications Recognised by the Malaysian Government: Case-by-case basis
Note for Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) and Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM):
The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme; OR other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government AND pass an interview (online/virtual/conventional) OR submission of student’s portfolio, to be determined by the HEP as required.
Entry Requirements for Foundation Year
- SPM / O-Level: Minimum 5 credits
- UEC: Minimum 3 credits
- Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM / A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 50%
- Other qualifications deemed equivalent to SPM / O-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 60%
Equivalency of qualification in accordance to Malaysian Qualification Agency Standards
English Language Requirements
For Local Students:
- MUET: Band 3
- SPM English Language: Grade B+
- SPM English Language 1119/O-Level/IGCSE: Grade C
- UEC English Language: Grade A2
In the event that the English language requirements are not met, applicants will be required to take the Basic English and English Foundation for in-sessional academic enhancement concurrently with the programme.
For International Students:
