Bachelor Of Pharmacy (Honours)

Fully accredited by the Pharmacy Board Malaysia, UCSI University’s Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) is highly regarded by industry practitioners and employers. This student-centred programme adopts a hands-on approach to foster independent learning, preparing students to tackle challenges in the use of medicine and healthcare. With a patient-centred focus, the curriculum integrates knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences to enhance patient care and safety.

The programme encompasses four core areas: Physiology and Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, and Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice. Graduates will be equipped with scientific, clinical, and professional expertise alongside strong communication skills, enabling them to make a meaningful contribution to the healthcare system.

• General Certificate of Education Advanced (A Levels): Grade BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry (minimum grade B)

  • Physics or Mathematics

• Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM): Grade BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry (minimum grade B)

  • Physics or Mathematics

  Note: A combination of A-Levels or STAM and STPM is allowed to fulfil the entry requirement.

• Matriculation or Pre-study in Medicine and Pharmacy: Grade BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry (minimum grade B)

  • Physics or Mathematics

  And provided the programme is not less than 1 year and completed in the same institution.

• Pre-medical/Pre-pharmacy Programme or Foundation in Sciences: Grade BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry (minimum grade B)

  • Physics or Mathematics

  And provided the programme is not less than 1 year and completed in the same institution.

  And

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM): 5Bs each in 5 subjects:

    • Mathematics or Additional Mathematics

    • Another subject

  Or

  • General Certificate of Education Ordinary ("O") Levels: 5Bs each in 5 subjects:

• Monash University Foundation Pre-University Programme (MUFY) / University of New South Wales (UNSW) Foundation / Western Australian Curriculum Council / Higher School Certificate (HSC) Sydney Australia / Trinity College Foundation Studies / Australian Universities Foundation Programmes / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) / Victorian Certificate of Education, Australia Year 12 / Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT): Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry (minimum 75%)

  • Physics or Mathematics

  Or

  75% TER/UAI/ENTER/ATAR provided the subjects include:

• Diploma in Pharmacy or Diploma in Health Sciences or equivalent: CGPA 3.5 (out of 4.0) and provided the programme is not less than 5 semesters or 2.5 years and completed in the same institution.

    • Biology/Physics/Maths

    • Credits in 3 other subjects including English

• Degree in Health or Medical or Pure or Applied Sciences: CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0)

• Other international qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Levels by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects:

  • Biology

  • Chemistry (minimum 75%)

  • Physics or Mathematics
