Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Music Performance

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music Performance focuses on Western art music, offering comprehensive training in practical musicianship, music theory, and academic knowledge. As a practice-based and creative programme, students engage in individual practice, ensemble rehearsals, and live performances. The curriculum also covers music history, composition, arrangement, music technology, and music education. Ideal for those with a background in performance and a passion for solo and ensemble playing, the programme prepares graduates for careers as performers, educators, and session musicians. With its interdisciplinary approach and emphasis on collaboration, students develop a broad range of transferable skills essential for success in the creative industries.

Specific Requirements

All candidates must pass an audition prior to entry into the programme. To prepare three 1.5-minute pieces to be sung or performed on any instrument of their choice, alongside a self-introduction video.
