About
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a critical field dedicated to safeguarding the health, safety, and welfare of individuals engaged in work or employment. The goal of OSH programmes is to cultivate safe and healthy working environments. Additionally, these programmes aim to protect not only employees but also co-workers, families, employers, customers, and others who may be impacted by the workplace setting. Offered by SEGi College, the Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health focuses on the public health branch that addresses the effects of occupational exposure on workers' well-being. This programme responds to the growing demand for contemporary safety and health practitioners equipped to meet global standards. In line with Malaysia’s Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994, which mandates the presence of competent safety and health officers within industries, SEGi College prepares students to handle safety and health issues effectively in the workplace.
Graduates of the Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health from SEGi College are qualified to serve as Safety and Health Representatives, such as site safety supervisors or assistant safety managers, across both government agencies and private organisations. Additionally, they may pursue careers as Occupational Health Control or Research Officers.
