Aligned with the Malaysian Qualifications Framework, the program covers all aspects of Medical Microbiology and builds on knowledge and skills gained at the master’s level, enabling graduates to conduct independent research. The program’s goal is to produce highly skilled graduates who integrate biological sciences and related technologies, while emphasizing ethics, communication, leadership, professionalism, and social responsibility.

Equivalent Qualifications: Other qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree, accepted by the HEP Senate.

Candidates Without Related Qualifications or Experience: Must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP.

Bachelor’s degree candidates registered for a master’s programme may apply to convert to a doctoral programme within 1 year of registration, subject to:
