Entry Requirements

Entry requirementsCandidates will have achieved the CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, either through the new 2009 syllabus or the 2004 Diploma. Students who have achieved these awards will be given 60 Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) credits and transferred onto the Masters course. The decision for this process lies with the course leader in conjunction with the WBS APCL co-ordinator.

Some candidates may be able to apply for APCL credits against CIM qualifications already in their possession and/or modules passed on other Marketing Masters degrees. In all cases, the decision rests with the admissions tutor or course leader.

Normally, students need to have enrolled on the course before a claim for APCL can be assessed. A maximum of 50 per cent of credits for a named award can be obtained by APCL, (ie 90 out of 180 required at Masters level). It is assumed that candidates who have completed a CIM Diploma will possess English language ability equivalent to an IELTS score of at least 6.5. In some cases the University may ask the candidate to obtain or demonstrate evidence of this level of proficiency in English, prior to acceptance.
