Entry Requirements

MPhil Eligibility Criteria

  • Degree Requirements:

    • An upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or international equivalent in a relevant discipline.

    • Non-UK qualifications will be assessed against this standard.

  • Additional Notes:

    • Applicants must hold a degree from a recognised university.

    • The university welcomes students from all academic backgrounds and considers a wide range of qualifications. However, for some programs, prior qualifications must be in related fields.

    • Applicants may be invited for an interview as part of the admissions process if further evaluation is needed.

  • Eligibility Confirmation:

    • Eligibility can only be confirmed once a complete application is submitted.


  • Language Proficiency (if applicable):

    • IELTS (Academic): Overall 7.0, with no component below 6.0.

    • TOEFL iBT: Overall 100, with minimum scores:

      • Writing & Listening: 19

      • Reading: 20

      • Speaking: 22

    • PTE (Academic): Overall 76, with no component below 65.

    • MUET: Band 5 (valid for 5 years).

  • Important Notes:

    • English proficiency test results must be less than 2 years old.

    • IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted.

    • Online versions of IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE are not accepted.
