Applied Psychology with Clinical Psychology - BSc (Hons)

• A level: AAA excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking
• GCSE: Mathematics grade C
• Other equivalent qualifications accepted by the university.

English Language Requirement:

• Undergraduate applicants from the UK are required to have an appropriate grade/score in an approved examination in English Language, usually a grade C (or above) in GCSE English language or an acceptable equivalent.
• Students whose first language is not English, and who live/study in a non-majority English-speaking country are required to have an appropriate grade/score in an approved English language examination. We recommend taking a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as IELTS or Pearson (PTE).
• Five passes at GCSE grade C or above, including English Language or Use of English (IGCSE English as a Second Language, grade B), and at least two subjects at A level;
• Three passes at GCE A level and a pass at grade C or above in GCSE English Language or Use of English.

Year in industry
Spend a year on placement within an organisation that delivers a form of psychological service, such as the National Health Service, Home Office, Department for Education or social services (subject to availability of placements and achieving an average mark of 60% at Stages 1 and 2).

The marks awarded for this year will be based on performance on the placement, a Reflective Diary kept by the student (marked on a pass/fail basis), a poster presentation about the placement experience, and the report of a research project conducted whilst on placement. The research report and the Reflective Diary must be submitted before the Autumn Term of Stage 3.
