Entry Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum 2.2 Honours in Humanities or Social Science subject.

Note: We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.

English Language Requirements:

  • Overall IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).

Curriculum

On this course you will develop your strategic thinking and insights concerning the management of people across borders. These include human resource management and organisational behaviour concepts, cultural issues, reward, performance management and strategic HR approaches.

To be an effective professional, we believe you also need to understand the business and its context, so you will learn about international business strategy as a core part of the course.

With a firm grasp of business strategy and business principles, you will go on to learn about managing people and transforming performance.

You will also conduct your own research to produce a dissertation, which can be based around a business issue with a people-management or other HR theme.

Recent students have used their own work experience and contacts to collect data from current or previous employers. Dissertation topics have included the effectiveness of virtual teams in India, public sector recruitment in Nigeria and employee reward in Germany.
