Curriculum

Through project work, you will develop a broad understanding of contemporary landscape issues as well as the critical and aesthetic skills you need to pursue a career in landscape architecture.

You will be guided through a process of investigation, experiment and innovation, and you will learn both traditional and new approaches to representation and advanced computing.

Our landscape courses are unique in their focus on the temporal and urban aspects of landscape, rather than the horticultural.

We believe in a collaborative studio culture and small class sizes. At other universities you will often find much large classes with all students following the same brief.

The way we teach allows you more individuality. We will encourage you to develop your own ideas and pursue your own research interests.

You will develop your individual projects while working collaboratively with others in a way that echoes life in a professional landscape architecture practice.

You will also benefit from studying in our multi-disciplinary School environment alongside students in related fields of architecture, sustainability and urban design.
