Diploma in Architectural Technology

In Malaysia, architectural technology is a relatively new field. The use of science, engineering, and technology supports the practice of architectural technology, which is intimately related to industry. MAHSA University will be the first university in Malaysia to provide a "Diploma in Architectural Technology" program that incorporates sustainability and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Given its emphasis on empirically based digitalisation of design and construction through Building Information Modelling, which is related to production, performance, environmental sustainability, economic efficiency, and effectiveness. The importance of the field of architectural technology is growing more crucial in the digital age. As specialised designers with distinct strengths in building performance, production, and process, architectural technologists have now transitioned from the function of "technician" to that of "building specialist," supporting construction teams as specialist designers.

With the help of cutting-edge computer programs, practical instruction, and industry-relevant projects, the program seeks to equip students with the skills necessary to become proficient architectural technicians, BIM modellers, and other related professionals. It also gives them the chance to pursue further education towards a Bachelor of Architectural Technology or other related fields.

Any one of these:

• Pass SPM with minimum (3) C / Credits including Mathematics and a Pass in English and Drawing subject and (2) other subjects. Drawing test/portfolio needed if without pass in art subject at SPM level or without drawing subject at SPM level.

• O-Level: With Grade C in (3) subjects including Mathematics and Drawing subject or (2) other subjects.

• UEC: For senior middle three (SM3) only. Pass UEC with Grade B in (3) subjects including Mathematics and (2) other subjects.

• Certificate (Polytechnic): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 and pass C in (2) subjects including Mathematics and a pass in SPM English and (1) other subject. Drawing test/portfolio needed if without pass in Art subject at SPM Level or without Drawing subject at SPM Level.

• Certificate (KKM): Minimum CGPA of 2.75 with 2Cs (including Mathematics) and a pass in SPM English.

• Certificate/SKM III: Minimum CGPA of 2.50 with a C in SPM, pass in Mathematics and Drawing test by MAHSA University

• SAM/TERTIARY ENTRANCE RANK (TER)/UAI: Average of 50% or higher in 5 subjects (including Drawing and English)

• CPU/CIMP: Average of 50% or higher in 6 subjects (including Drawing and English)

• HSC/AUSMAT: Average of 50% or higher in 5 subjects (including Drawing and English)

• SKM - Pass in Certificate / SKM Level 3 with minimum CGPA 2.50 with Grade C at SPM Level and
  Pass Mathematics

• Vocational & Technical Qualification - Pass in certificate/college professional Mara (KKM) with minimum CGPA of 2.75 and Pass C including Mathematics and 1 subjects as well as Pass in English at SPM Level and 1 other subject.

• Other Qualifications - Other equivalent to SPM qualification as recognized by SENATE of University

English Requirements:

• IELTS: 5.0

• TOEFL PBT: 500

• MUET: Band 3
