About
In Malaysia, architectural technology is a relatively new field of study. The profession of architectural technology is intimately related to industry and is supported by the use of science, engineering, and technology. MAHSA University will be the first institution in Malaysia granted the opportunity to introduce the Bachelor of Architectural Technology program, integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Sustainable Technology.
Architectural technologists are now considered "building specialists" rather than "technicians," contributing to construction teams as specialised designers with distinct advantages in building performance, production, and process. Green technology and BIM (Building Information Modelling) will be the means by which the construction industry organises and produces architectural technology data that enables building management and efficiency in the future.
The goal of this curriculum is to equip students with the sophisticated computer skills, understanding of the Green Building Index, practical training, and industrial projects necessary to become future architectural technologists.
