The program is structured to equip students with the competencies needed for successful careers in education. It focuses on developing specific skills essential for educators to meet the demands of the 21st century, including expertise in teaching and learning methodologies, curriculum design, classroom management, and educational assessment. This program is available both full-time (1 year) and part-time (1 year 6 months)
The goal of the course is to give general graduates who want to pursue teaching as a career the opportunity to do so and to receive professional training in the field. By addressing a range of educational theories and challenges, students learn to formulate effective solutions for immediate and long-term issues in the field. Graduates emerge professionally competent to meet the demands of both the market and society.

Entry Requirements
Any one of these:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate of University College
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field.
- Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
English Proficiency Requirements (International Students):
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0, or
- 500 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version); o
- 79 and above for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version).
If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program.
