About University of Advancing Technology

University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is a for-profit institution of higher education located in Tempe, Arizona. It was founded in 1983 and known as CAD Institute. UAT is a private university that merges the values of the traditional academy with the modern technology campus.

UAT is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. UAT currently offers Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.

There are 20 undergraduate degrees in advancing technology disciplines, including our most popular majors: Game Design, Game Programming, Network Security, Technology Forensics, Digital Video, and Robotics and Embedded Systems. UAT also offers 5 graduate degrees in such disciplines as Advancing Computer Science, Emerging Technologies, Game Production and Management, Information Assurance and Technology Leadership.

University of Advancing Technology's mission is to educate students in advancing technology who innovate for the future.

Campus information

The main branch of the library houses many types of media including: Books, Games, Journals and Magazines, Electronics, and DVDs. The UAT library serves the information-seeking needs of a diverse population of students who use the library for study, pleasure reading, homework group assignments and quiet (mostly) recreation.

UAT also offers a variety of housing options including Founder's Hall, our on-campus residence hall; and Galleria Palms Apartments, La Estancia Apartments and South Creek Apartments.

The University of Advancing Technology is situated in Tempe, Arizona, is a diverse desert city just a few hours away from the beaches of Mexico and Southern California and the majestic mountains of the Sonoran Desert.
