About Millersville University of Pennsylvania

Millersville University is a public university established in 1855 originally as the Lancaster County Normal School. It changed its name in 1859 to the Millersville State Normal School, and was then transformed into a state teacher's college in 1928. In 1957, the school was renamed as the Millerville State College, and officially because Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 1983.
