Miami International University of Art & Design, including its branches, The Art Institute of Tampa and The Art Institute of Jacksonville, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees

Miami International University of Art & Design is located in the Omni Building located at 1501 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Fl 33132. With approximately 100,000 square feet of dedicated space, this facility houses classrooms, studios, laboratories, offices, a student lounge, a library, and an exhibition gallery.

The facility is located in the heart of downtown Miami and the arts district. It is within walking distance of numerous cultural institutions such as the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and the newly constructed Museum Park that houses the Pèrez Art Museum Miami and the future Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science. Equipment provided at Miami International University of Art & Design is specific to the program of study. This includes but is not limited to projectors, editing decks, PC and Macintosh computers, and printers.

Miami is a multicultural metropolis where residents enjoy outdoor activities including visiting parks and beaches, bike riding, jogging, rollerblading, and swimming. The city has actively supported cycling in the region, leading to it being named as one of the country's most bike-friendly cities by Bicycling Magazine.

Accommodation

For many, living with friends and peers is a quintessential part of the college experience, and The Office of Residential Life and Housing can connect you with the resources and information you need about School-Sponsored Housing and/or independent housing referral services.

In the School-Sponsored Housing program, you’ll be assigned to a unit in a local apartment complex along with other students. Student Resident Assistants will also live on-site and can help you connect with your peers by facilitating on-site activities and social, cultural, and creative programs. Basic furnishing and utilities are included in the quarterly housing charge.

Not all Art Institutes locations offer School-Sponsored Housing.
