About Northumbria University

Established as a university in 1992 after years of being part of constituent colleges, Northumbria University cultivates students in different study areas. Some of the course programs that are available here can be found in either of these 8 Academic schools: Arts and Social Sciences; Newcastle Business School; Built and Natural Environment; Computing Engineering and Information Sciences; Design; Health Community and Education Studies; Law; and Life Sciences. However, several courses that are offered in the dominant major subject areas include Engineering, Computing, Sciences, Business, Law, Design, Built, and Natural Environment, Arts, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sports, Health, and many more.

What sets these courses apart from those of other institution is that many of these courses possess professional accreditation, postgraduate courses which require from prospective students with a subject specific first degree, as well as options to convert masters for  those who are interested to change direction in their study interests.
