About Middlesbrough College

Middlesbrough College is unique in the region, in delivering courses in every occupational sector area and at every level, from entry level all the way through to level 7 including postgraduate qualifications. This means that whether you have lots of qualifications or none, we believe you are capable of doing great things. Whether you are a school leaver, a potential apprentice, an adult looking to retrain or improve their career prospects or are interested in degree-level study, we have a course for you.

Although many of our students live in the Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Redcar areas, we have students travelling from all across the region including Northallerton, Darlington and Whitby. We are a proud to be a College for our community and I often describe us ‘a world under one roof’, with people from all backgrounds and ages studying and working together in a vibrant, positive environment.

Campus information

Middlesbrough College is the largest provider of post-16 education and training in the Tees Valley, In August 2008, the College relocated from four sites across Middlesbrough to a new campus close to the town centre. The College offers further education courses in 14 of the 15 subject areas in further education, apprenticeships and employer training, and higher education.

Middlesbrough College is located in the North East of England.

The College building – an award-winning new build first opened in August 2008 – is located close to the centre of town.

The College is keen to reduce carbon emissions, by reducing the need to use private cars, and its location allows delegates to use public transport. It is located five minutes walk from Middlesbrough Railway Station, from where there are connections to the national network, and ten minutes walk from the Bus Station, from where there are regional and national links.

The College is also located on National Cycle Network routes and there are plenty of cycle-parking facilities available adjacent to the College. Cyclists can gain access to changing and shower facilities.
