Cyberjaya, 1st June 2016 – Close to 200 pharmacy students and young researchers gathered over the weekend at the Third Pharmaceutical Research Conference organised by Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences at its Cyberjaya Campus. In keeping with the theme for 2016, Quenching the Inquisitive Minds: Diversity Beyond Borders, this year’s conference was organised in collaboration with three international partners namely Chiang Mai University (CMU) of Thailand, Gadjah Mada University (GMU) of Indonesia and Sekolah Tinggi Farmasi Bandung (STFB) of Indonesia. The conference was supported by the Chemical Company of Malaysia (CCM), PharmaNiaga and other leading pharmaceutical companies.
The event featured a slate of international and local speakers who are leaders in their field including Prof. Subagus Wahyuono, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia, Assoc. Prof. Pimporn Leelapornpisid, Vice Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Chiang Mai University in Thailand and Dr. Patonah, Head of Department of Pharmacology at Sekolah Tinggi Farmasi Bandung in Indonesia.
