About Australian Lutheran College

Australian Lutheran College (ALC) is shaping tomorrow’s pastors, teachers, and church workers who think imaginatively about issues that affect all of life in the church and the world. They are learning to think faithfully and vitally about life and faith in the light of biblical and church teaching, and be effective spiritual leaders, educators, and workers who bring life and renewal in the church and communities they serve.

ALC provides opportunities for growth, education, and training in Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training formats, including Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral studies.

Campus information

The campus of the college is just twenty minutes walk from the central shopping centre of Adelaide, the University of Adelaide, the City East and City West campuses of the University of South Australia, the Art Gallery of South Australia, and the South Australian Museum.

The ALC campus is situated on the corner of Jeffcott and Ward Streets where there are plenty of green lawns and recreational areas for the residents to use.

Accommodation

Family accommodation:

Archer Street units

These townhouses were built to accommodate ALC on-campus students with families.
There are 17 units in all, ranging from two to three bedrooms, with all the modern conveniences needed to accommodate a family. All units offer heating and air conditioning.
These units are located on the perimeter of the campus facing Archer Street.

Single accommodation:

Residential college accommodation is available to students who study at ALC and also to students studying at university, TAFE college or a commercial college in Adelaide. All students must be full-time to be eligible for residential college accommodation.
