Entry Requirements

  • Related qualifications accepted by the university

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS: An academic score of 6.5 or higher. 
  • TOEFL IBT: an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component.
  • CAEL: 70 overall or higher (each band 60 or higher).
  • PTE: 59 overall or higher.
 

Curriculum

Our one-year program offers a variety of options to fulfill program requirements. You may choose a coursework-only option, consisting of 8 half-credit courses, or you may choose to undertake a Major Research Project in addition to 6 half-credit courses. There are 4 options to complete the Major Research Project: a journal article option, a master’s research paper, a public opinion project, or a policy analysis project.

All students must complete the 2 core courses:

  • The Craft of Political Science
  • Applied Political Analysis

Students wishing to complete the policy analysis project must take:

  • Understanding and Applying Public Policy Analysis
  • Students wishing to complete the public opinion project must take:
  • Public Opinion and Survey Design
