Christian Heritage College

CHC is a fully accredited private higher education provider located at Carindale, Brisbane, that aspires to model a Christian higher education alternative. Commencing from a vision birthed by Order of Australia recipient, Emeritus Professor Brian Millis in 1986, CHC exists to re-imagine how we think about human flourishing, vocation, calling and the integration of faith and learning across all fields of human endeavour.

CHC specializes in degree level courses that are people shaping and people making. Our courses celebrate people making principles and are taught by an exceptional staff who integrate faith-learning imperatives in all that they do. With over 25 courses across five major fields – Business, Education & Humanities, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences and Ministries – CHC provides a Christian alternative for students seeking a university-level qualification. Whilst our courses are taught from a Christian perspective, we welcome students from all backgrounds and traditions.

Accommodation while at uni provides opportunities for you to develop friendships with other students. It also is of great benefit to you if you are unfamiliar with the Brisbane area, or living away from home for the first time.

Uniresort

Uniresort offers single room with private ensuite, a common lounge, dining, kitchen area is shared with three other students. Uniresort is located 10 minutes from CHC and only a short walk to the major shopping centre Garden City and the south-east busway, which is a major public transport hub. Genesis

Genesis1 has a 174 students in residence. 75% are from overseas and 70% of all students are female. Genesis 1 promotes a study and security conscious environment. Contracts are for a minimum of six months with no penalty to extend.

Caravan Parks

Caravan parks affordable nightly/weekly rentals for short or long term accommodation.

Shared Accommodation: finding a room with other students or Christian families in the local area. Please make sure you are aware of tenancy rights before sharing.

Private Rental: renting a place by yourself with one or two others.

Securing comfortable, affordable accommodation with the right people can take time. CHC recommends that you begin your search well before your first day at College. Alternately the Mansfield area offers plenty of quality rental accommodation obtained through independent external organisations such as local real estate agencies and/or share accommodation web sites.

Our buildings, surrounded by areas of natural bushland, provide excellent teaching facilities, as well as student recreation areas. In addition to its own facilities, the College adjoins one of Australia’s largest churches, Citipointe Church, and one of Australia’s largest Christian Schools, Citipointe Christian College. The onsite coffee shop, Rivers Café and Books, is a favourite meeting place. Childcare is available on site.

The College Library holds a significant collection of books, academic and professional journals, and non-print resources including special collections of audio and video, CD and DVD and online resources. Our highly qualified staff assist both on campus and off campus students to make the most of the Library’s extensive resources.

Nestled in bushland at Carindale in Brisbane’s south-east it is easy to forget that CHC is only 20 minutes drive from the city centre. Convenient public transport is within walking distance from the College and students enjoy easy access to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts via the Gateway and the Pacific Motorway.

Bicycle paths link the campus to Mansfield, Carindale and beyond. Plenty of free parking is available on the campus.
