Be the next Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, or Lewis Hamilton with this 8-week intensive “High-Performance Driving and Racing” course from the TOC Automotive College (TOC), one of the early pioneers in automotive education, and Aylezo, a local professional race team that regularly competes in the international racing scene. Together, the TOC-Aylezo Racing Academy is ready to give the students hands-on experience and in-depth learning about the world of motorsports.

TOC also offers Diploma in Motorsport Technology, Diploma in Automotive Technology, SKM Level 2&3, Certificate in Automotive Technology Courses.

“Individuals are given an excellent opportunity to obtain professional guidance and knowledge from the Aylezo racing team. The team members of Aylezo have been involved in motorsports for nearly 20 years and the experience will definitely benefit those who aim to go further in this industry,” said Adelaine Foo, Founder and CEO of TOC.

“TOC-Aylezo Racing Academy sits on eight acres of land area in the precinct of Glenmarie and is well-equipped with our own cafe, restaurant, and gym. It is a good opportunity to experience what a race driver and the crew goes through on a daily basis at the circuit, in a controlled manner at the academy’s purpose-built Go-Kart track with a world-class simulator. With the world-class simulator, every racer gets to feel what it is like to race on racetracks from all over the world,” said Zen Low, founder of Aylezo and an experienced winning GT racecar driver.

For the gym classes, there will be a martial arts master to train students to remain calm and respond accordingly even in a highly stressed situation.

Speaking exclusively to EasyUni.my, Liew Teck Ken, the Deputy CEO of TOC, the top student of the course will have an opportunity to be sponsored to go along with Aylezo on the next motorsport racing competition. This is a great opportunity for the students to get close experience to witness and learn the procedure of the preparation of before, during, and after a real motorsport racing competition.

Having said that, Liew highlighted that the certificate which will be given at the end of the course is not a “ticket” to be a racecar driver. Also, the student will not be representing Aylezo to participate in the competition.

“The certificate of attendance is more like a training course to fill in the gap between an automotive engineering course and venturing into a race car career,” said Liew. “It helps to enhance your CV.”

EasyUni writer is racing on the world-class simulator, set in the Sepang circuit in a BMW E90 Touring Car

The writer is honoured to be able to try the world-class simulator, which enables the user to select climate, car types, the circuits around the world, and other variables. To be very honest.

Driving a high-speed car requires focus, be able to see further down the road, physically fit, good limbs coordination, and be able to respond fast in a stress situation. The world-class simulator provides a safe environment for students to experience the realistic impact while driving a high-speed race car.

On the simulator, you will get to experience the inertia of driving at high speed, the impact of a car crash, the centrifugal force, and the imbalance of the car (which the writer believes the impacts have been reduced significantly) even when you slightly turning the steering. The simulator experience explained the importance of having a physically fit body as well as being mentally fit!
