Studying in University Malaya? Go Abroad With These Student Exchange Programmes!

Who?

Non-final year UM full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 40 credits at UM or will complete them during the exchange program with a CGPA of 3.0 and above are eligible to apply. [Read: What To Consider When Choosing Your Study Abroad Destination]

How?

Find out about the host university in your desired destination and apply to move overseas! You can get the application form and all info from the International Student Centre (ISC) in UM or its online portal. Send the application with a list of units you wish to take during the exchange program to your faculty for approval. After that, submit completed applications to the ISC and pray for the best! Finally, attend the interview conducted at ISC if you are shortlisted and go abroad!

Where?

UM has more than 500 partner institutions in 55 different countries. 203 of them signed Memorandums of Understanding with UM meaning they provide free lodging and tuition fee waiver so you can save few more bucks! Korea, Japan and Taiwan are some of the more popular destinations. A whopping 19% of all outbound exchange students chose Korea as their destination while Taiwan was the second most popular choice as 13% of exchange students went there.
