Don't Wait for the Opportunity, Create It!

We frequently wait for all the greater things in life to present itself. A better job, someone who will sweep us off our feet, the right time to start a business, and so on. The opportunity may present itself perfectly timed at times, but waiting passively for it to happen, most of the time, is ineffective. Daydreaming does not lead to opportunity so don’t wait for an opportunity to present itself; instead, create one! To create opportunity, you must be adaptive to your environment, and innovative to do things differently. Whether you are a student, a small business owner, or a freelancer, we are made to adapt. Acknowledge that any path you will have to take, is interesting to observe!

At this point in your life, you may ask a trillion questions regarding your journey after SPM. The worries and wonders give you a headache as most institutions require actual SPM results to enrol. Take a deep breath of relief! Good news is that the year 2020 ushers in a new era at Malaysia's Higher Education System, with an agreement for SPM leavers/candidates to enrol with their SPM trial results. But only pre-university, certificate, and diploma programmes at local private colleges and universities.

Don’t freak yet! Here are the do’s/tips you may follow;

BEFORE SPM RESULTS ARE ANNOUNCED

1. You may enrol at any preferred IPTS using trial exam results.

2. Only for pre-university, certificate, or diploma MOHE approved programmes.

3. You are not allowed to apply for PTPTN loan (at this point). 

AFTER SPM RESULTS ARE ANNOUNCED 

1. Your SPM results must meet the minimum requirement of the course you are enrolled in. 

2. If your results do not meet the minimum requirements, you may drop out from the programme or transfer to another programme that meets the requirements. 

3. You are eligible to apply for a PTPTN loan.

Opportunities do not frequently knock on your door. If you have a goal, a dream, or a vision of where you want your life to go, you must path your way to get there.
